Concept Based Curriculum

The West Bay Difference

The WBCA curriculum uses broad conceptual statements at each grade to form the framework for each year’s study. Teachers present thematic units that engage students and provide diverse opportunities for them to interact with the curriculum material. These conceptual statements form the superstructure of the curriculum design, which is reinforced with Biblical principles.

DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION

Differentiated Instruction ensures that our academic program meets students’ unique learning needs and style. Our goal is for students to know how they learn best and use that information to meet learning objectives and reach their educational potential.
This approach helps students learn their unique skill sets and teaches them how to transfer their learning style into a mainstream academic environment (ie, high school).
