Required Qualifications:
- Committed Christian, active in a local church
- Commitment to the philosophy of Christian education
- Desire and ability to teach preschool – 8th
- National criminal history background check on file (includes fingerprinting)
- Attend one-time WBCA Substitute Teacher training at WBCA
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Current teaching certificate or substitute teacher certification (RIDE)
- ACSI certification preferred
- Classroom teaching experience preferred
- College credits in Biblical studies preferred
Skills:
- Demonstrate ability to work with and relate to students of all ages
(preschool – 8th) - Ability to follow lesson plans
- Demonstrate ability to teach children with varied skills and learning styles
- Ability to integrate the Christian faith with curriculum, instruction, discipline and the school community
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
- Guide, assist, and encourage students in the learning process
- Demonstrate flexible teaching style
